Sharing the evidence
I work with Climate Up Close, a nonprofit that makes the essentials of climate science accessible to a broad audience. Since 2019, we have put on scores of events in schools, places of worship, libraries, and more—touring states from Florida to Nebraska. Each event opens with a 45-minute presentation on the current landscape of climate knowledge, placing aspects of the science on a spectrum from settled to speculative. Our presentation is followed by open questions and conversation. The events are free, nonpartisan, and policy-neutral, and our audiences range from people engaged in climate activism to those skeptical that climate change is human-caused. An example presentation is below, followed by our tours and press coverage. Interested in hosting an event?
